Dianna Woolley

As an artist I practice with my own set of tools. My chosen color palette, medium, and creativity serve to enhance and fan the spark that has called me to the visual arts.

Working in abstraction gives me a great deal of satisfaction. That satisfaction emanates from presenting my own story, my own picture, my own intensity of mark and color.

I've come to see that my current work is a reflection of personal travel experiences. Yet, as well, I see it joining up with the fiction and/or historical reading with which I'm engaged. Often my marks resemble rivers, forests, surfaces, even continents, unknown and as yet unexplored by me exactly as the heroes in my most current novels are exploring their own unknown vistas.
