Coeur D’Alene and Spokane are bursting with holiday festivities, and it really is a magical time of year in the Pacific Northwest. The historic Davenport Hotel and River Park Square kicked of the holiday splendor with a grand display of 18 themed Christmas trees. Raffle tickets were sold and prizes given, with proceeds benefiting the Spokane Symphony!

Thanksgiving – New Year’s
This priceless family friendly tradition boats over a million twinkling lights and runs from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. Set at the Coeur D’Alene Resort, the illuminated wonderland offers the largest on-the-water holiday light display in America! Kids look forward to the resort’s signature “Journey to the North Pole” lake cruise, which takes them straight to Santa’s North Pole Toy Workshop, and upon arrival, they are greeted by one of the world’s tallest Christmas trees.
Horse & Carriage Rides – Downtown Spokane
Nov. 29 – Christmas Eve
This is a beloved annual event perfect for a romantic night on the town or a jolly evening out with the kids. Bundle up and hop in an old-fashioned carriage that will take you through the festive downtown Spokane area for free! Riders receive candy canes to enjoy on the ride and coupons for coffee and hot chocolate specials at participating downtown Spokane coffeehouses.

The Tree of Sharing – River Park Square
The holidays are a perfect time to give back and the Tree of Sharing on the first level of River Park Square does just that. Thousands of low-income families receive holiday gifts under the tree and it is an incomparably joyful event.
Santa Express – Crescent Court

Kids ages 4-12 are invited to shop for affordable Christmas gifts on the 2nd level of Crescent Court. Proceeds benefit the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.
The North Pole Express – Riverfront Park
Dec. 14, 15, 21 & 22
The North Pole Express is a magnificent holiday train ride through Riverfront Park! Riders get to enjoy the ride and spend time with Santa. Hot cocoa is served and cookies are enjoyed by the fire with music making it all the more magical.
