Artists Statement
The ability to look through the camera and be able to create unique a piece of art and freeze a moment in time that will never exist again amazes me. The profoundness of this struck me recently while photographing petroglyphs in the Galisteo Basin. Amongst the ruins were works by Native artists dating as far back as 7000 BC that were painstaking carved with primitive tools and there I was creating my art in a digital instant in the same setting. Photography allows me to push the envelope, be an explorer, meet new people and share the experience of what it was like to be in that moment. Living in New Mexico with all its beauty and fascinating culture has been truly inspiring and a visual feast, it is my pleasure to share my passion and this corner of the planet.
